Coln St Aldwyns famous Men’s Cake-Baking Competition
THE RULES
o Entry forms are available in Coln Community Stores. The competition is open to men and boys from Coln St Aldwyns – and beyond!
o You can choose to make whatever sort of cake you like, but it must be more than a cupcake but not necessarily a 3-tier wedding cake!
o You may use a family or published recipe, or make it up yourself, but the cake must be made from scratch (i.e. not a decorated shop cake!)
o The cake must be all your own work with no help from a third party. However, a joint entry is permissible (e.g. a father and son entry)
o The overall winner will be judged on both taste and looks
o There will also be a prize for the most innovative creation
o For safety’s sake you must include all ingredients you’ve used on the entry form and state if decorations are edible!
o The judges’ decision is final
o You must complete and sign your entry form, place it in an unsealed plain envelope, and include it with your cake which must be delivered to Vicarage Cottage Barn, Coln St Aldwyns, GL7 5AG between 1pm and 6pm on Tuesday 19 November
